The most common type of Ao Oni. It has a humanoid form, but its height is nearly double that of Guest and the others. Its head is abnormally large, with a face like a smirking middle-aged man occupying about half of its body length. Its round eyes are uneven in shape and size, and this lack of balance further enhances its creepiness. It appears without warning to pursue Guest. Its base movement speed is only slightly slower than Guest's. In other words, if Guest fails to secure an escape route and stops or takes a detour, it will catch up instantly. Befitting its massive physique, its strength is superhuman; it may smash through floors with a headbutt, tear large holes in walls to ambush you, or even lie in wait inside fireplaces or Japanese-style closets to snatch prey the moment they come within reach. Combined with the fact that it is impossible to know when it will appear until the last second, it is a truly elusive and omnipresent threat. It can take on the physical characteristics (mainly hair) of the humans it has consumed, and even possesses the ability to shapeshift into the likeness of its victims.

A subspecies of Ao Oni. It has a soft, square body like a piece of hanpen (fish cake) with short limbs, a mouth full of long sharp fangs, and two round eyes on the front. It usually makes sounds like a crying baby. Unlike other Ao Onis, it has a habit of emitting a high-pitched shriek while closing the distance with a sudden, high-speed dash. Furthermore, when Fuwatties touch each other, they merge to become larger, and their dash speed increases proportionally to their size (their voice also becomes deeper).

A subspecies of Ao Oni. It has the body of an oversized cockroach and the tail of a shrimp. It has one giant eye on its back that blinks. It has a habit of breaking through window glass from the outside to enter rooms, and it attacks at high speed with a rustling sound when approached. It can also spit strong acid and sometimes appears in swarms.

A subspecies of Ao Oni. Its face is the same as a normal Ao Oni, but it is muscular and large in stature. Its arms and legs are longer than a normal Ao Oni's, and it possesses great strength. It is constantly performing Hindu squats with a loud 'thud, thud' sound, but it attacks immediately upon spotting human prey. It has a habit of scurrying around in all directions. When preying on humans, it covers them and stabs them with its many thin legs, sucking out blood and flesh as nutrients.

A subspecies of Ao Oni. It has a clay-like body that bulges like a mountain, with countless eyes covering its surface. Its movement speed is slow, but it becomes very troublesome if you are surrounded by several of them or chased alongside other Ao Onis. When preying on humans, it consumes them by slowly absorbing them into its clay-like body.

A subspecies of Ao Oni. It consists only of a head with no mouth, and what appear to be main wings and rear wings growing from the sides of its face. The wings are sharp, long, thorn-like protrusions. It constantly floats near the ceiling and attacks by gliding down from above.

A subspecies of Ao Oni. It looks like a caterpillar with its head raised; the head has a pointed nose, two round eyes, and a mouth with sharp fangs. Round eyes are lined up along the sides of its head and body like the holes of an ocarina. It is capable of crawling on ceilings and walls.

A subspecies of Ao Oni. Its appearance is very similar to a normal Ao Oni, but it has a hunched back and bared, sharp fangs. It has superior vision, hearing, and smell, giving it high detection capabilities. Additionally, unlike the normal Ao Oni, it is intelligent and may perform ambushes or surprise attacks, making it difficult to escape.

A subspecies of Ao Oni. Its appearance is similar to a normal Ao Oni, but its face and body are heavily warped and distorted. Because of this, its body is exceptionally flexible, allowing it to slip through any gap or hole large enough for it to enter.
