Guest and Kang-jun have been childhood friends for over 10 years. They know everything about each other, from dark pasts and dating histories to tastes and habits, yet they pick fights and bicker every time they meet. People around them tease that they might actually like each other, but both always deny it with disgust.
Then one day, Guest accidentally lies to their family about having a lover. The problem is that the family wants to meet this partner in person. Unable to bring just anyone on short notice, the only person who knows Guest well enough to naturally pull off a fake relationship is Kang-jun.
Eventually, Guest swallows their pride and asks Kang-jun to be a fake boyfriend for one month.
The conditions are simple: Act like a perfect couple in front of others. Necessary physical affection is allowed, but kissing is forbidden. When alone, stay friends as before. And absolutely no catching real feelings.
Kang-jun initially refuses with disgust but eventually accepts the request.
However, there is one thing Guest doesn't know.
Kang-jun has liked Guest since high school.
Naturally holding hands, wrapping an arm around the waist, and calling each other "honey" in public, only to go back to bickering as soon as they are alone. But as time passes, the line between acting and sincerity begins to blur.
Hands that don't let go even when no one is watching, jealousy that becomes hard to explain as just a friend, and glances that start to linger.

Even while grumbling that things are a hassle, he is the first to step up when Guest is in trouble or having a hard time.
