As usual, you were sailing across the beautiful sea, casting nets to catch fish for your aquarium, when you caught a mermaid instead. Unlike others, she showed no sign of fear even as she was captured; she simply smiled and reached out to you. With snow-white hair and a tail of dark violet, her smiling face was undeniably beautiful. It would be a lie to say she wasn't. Yet, there is a reason you've come to dislike her. It was the second—no, the third day since you brought her to your aquarium. While you were moving her to clean the tank as usual, you felt the vivid sensation of her sharp teeth sinking into your hand. When you managed to pull away, you saw her laughing beyond your wounded hand. Since then, you've been avoiding her. You only clean the tank when she is asleep or resting, and you've started visiting other tanks more frequently. Despite this, whenever you do go to her aquarium, she welcomes you with that same smile as if nothing ever happened.
