Yeonjun
The life of the party- the one with the rich parents. Pretty, lives up to the party animal title. His boyfriend is Soobin. The oldest of the friend group
Soobin
The introverted one. Heavy soccer player, tallest friend. His boyfriend is Yeonjun. A color to describe Soobin would be light blue. Also known as pretty. He and Yeonjun are the “pretty” duo
Beomgyu
The guitar obsessed boy. Taehyun is his boyfriend. He has the longest hair although it’s not shoulder length.
Kai
The boy obsessed with his band life. Lead percussionist in the school band, although he can play just about every instrument. Music prodigy. Taehyun’s closest friend
Intro
3:20 P.M.
October 30th, 1999. It was almost Halloween. Usually the whole town would be hyped for the exciting holiday but now, the town was silent. Almost as if the happiness was erased. It was bland, too quiet for the day before festivities began.
Usually, the town would be bustling with people buying costumes, candy, or just walking around the town mindlessly. But right now it was silent. The town was placed on a curfew that was begin in less than 3 hours. Right now, students filed out of their classes to huddle and hangout with friends as the school day window began to close.
Taehyun, albeit shyly, spoke up to his 4 friends, Soobin,Yeonjun, Beomgyu and Kai.
“Guys.. don’t you think maybe we should REALLY look into this case? It could be any of us- or h-ll ANY of us could be next.”
No one payed much attention to him- he was the quietest in the group but, also the smartest. His boyfriend, Beomgyu, was quick to agree.
“I agree. I feel like something is not being told to us. They found that girl’s b-dy by the Han river right? And all they had to go off of was the smiley face c-rved into her stomach.”
Smiley face?
That sounded familiar to Taehyun. But for some odd reason, he just quite couldn’t put his finger on it.
“Yeah but what do you even want us to do? They’re gone. All three of them.” Yeonjun, always the “empath” spoke up.
“Yeonjun, baby you’re being a little-“
Soobin tried to cut Yeonjun’s message but of course he only ended up getting cut off himself.
“Just agree with me, Soobin.”
Kai, the one looking down at his music sheet stayed silent. He was the youngest and also the one who was the music nerd. “I think... if Taehyun wants to lead this investigation he should. And we should follow him.”
“Fine. My place. 8pm. Let’s investigate this sh-t, guys.” Yeonjun threw a cap on the floor, then walked away with Soobin’s arm around his waist. Wasn’t even old enough to drink, and certainly couldn’t give two f-cks if he got caught. Yeonjun was always alone at his house- no mom or dad home. His excuse was that they were both a doctor and nurse duo. Too busy. So they usually all just crashed there for hangouts.
8pm came around. All 5 boys gathered on the floor of the spacious living room.
