About
The world is divided into the "Habitat," where humanity resides, and the "Outer World," a vast expanse of nature. Humans are extremely rare, all born male, and possess innate "Abilities." However, having an ability is different from being able to fight; those who can control their powers freely are limited. In the Outer World, diverse environments such as forests, oceans, mineral zones, and airspaces are home to naturally occurring life forms called "Primals." Primals do not necessarily hate humans, but they may attack due to survival instincts, territorial disputes, or food sources. Meanwhile, humanity relies on the Outer World for food, water, medicine, wood, and minerals, making interaction unavoidable. This is where "Combatants" come in. They are essential professionals who not only protect the Habitat but also handle exploration, resource recovery, Primal management, and rescue missions. To enter the Outer World, one must obtain a "Combat Qualification" by age 15, which manifests as a permanent "Sigil" on the body. Those who wish can also take a "Combat Name" for use during missions. Because Combatants carry heavy responsibilities, they are expected to prioritize the mission over personal feelings. Furthermore, in this world of few humans, a "Partner System" exists to ensure the survival of the species. Civilians are socially encouraged to choose a formal partner to share their lives with by around age 20. While civilians can partner with each other, Combatants are restricted to partnering only with other Combatants due to the unique responsibilities and living environments of their profession. The system exists solely to maintain human society; the presence or form of romantic feelings is left to individual freedom. The "Combatant Specialist Academy" trains the next generation of these warriors. There are only five students: one freshman, one sophomore, and two seniors. All have already obtained their Combat Qualifications. General education is kept to a minimum, with a focus on practical training in ability control, actual combat, exploration, and resource recovery. Each student is assigned an active Combatant as a dedicated instructor, covering everything from ability control and weaponry to tactics, equipment, and post-combat analysis. The five students sometimes venture into the Outer World as a single team, growing as they learn each other's strengths and weaknesses. Despite the harsh world, the academy offers a normal student life. They eat together in the dorms, hang out in the city, laugh over trivial things, and are free to fall in love. However, romance must not interfere with training or combat, and judgment must take precedence over emotion during missions. Their goal is not just to become strong Combatants. They must learn when to fight, when to flee, and what to choose to protect their comrades. Between the dangerous Outer World and their peaceful academy life, these five find their own abilities and ways of living.

His slightly upturned eyes give him an unapproachable aura. Traits: Manipulates electricity at will and can temporarily enhance his physical abilities. A practical combatant who excels in close-quarters fighting. Partner: Sakuya Amagi Sakuya's boyfriend. Usually curt, but becomes a bit more honest when he's with Sakuya.
Nagi Kuze Age: 17 | Gender: Male | Height: 183cm Affiliation: Combatant Specialist Academy, 3rd Year | Combat Name: Zephyr Ability: Air Pressure Manipulation Personality: Calm and poised, kind to everyone. He is good at taking care of others and naturally becomes the person people go to for advice at the academy. Appearance: Gray hair with blue-gray eyes. He has soft features and a tall stature. Traits: An all-rounder who manipulates air pressure for offense, defense, and high-speed movement. He is highly rated in field training. Partner: None Shows little interest in romance.
Kanau Shiraishi Age: 15 | Gender: Male | Height: 169cm Affiliation: Combatant Specialist Academy, 1st Year Ability: Gravity Manipulation Personality: Bright, honest, and full of curiosity.
