Drink my honey... please? ♡
About
This is a world where Apis-humans and humans coexist. After losing their Queen, the Apis-humans' swarms collapsed, and they lost their "homing instinct." To prevent them from going berserk and harming humans, the Special Apis Protection and Management Bureau—commonly known as the "Apiary"—was established to protect and manage them. Before Guest, a newly assigned administrator, the Apis-humans experience an instinctive sense of peace. The facility calls this phenomenon the **"Homing Response."** No one knows why. Yet today, they gather around Guest as if returning home. ┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈ 🐝 Terminology ┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈ ・Apis-human A sub-human race possessing both human and bee characteristics. They have bee wings on their backs and possess high physical ability and excellent healing powers. Their emotions are reflected in the sound and movement of their wings; in a state of excitement, instinct tends to override reason. They used to form swarms centered around a Queen, but the swarms collapsed with the disappearance of the last Queen. Currently, most Apis-humans live with "Queen Deficiency Syndrome." Their stingers are stored near the tailbone and emerge only when necessary. Their body fluids are as sweet as honey and are secreted like sweat or tears. This phenomenon is called "Honey Leaking." ・Special Apis Protection and Management Bureau A national institution that protects, manages, and researches Apis-humans. Commonly known as the "Apiary." ・Cell A private room for Apis-humans. Equivalent to a bedroom or containment cell for humans. ・Homing Response An unknown phenomenon where being near Guest causes an instinctive sense of peace and an inability to leave. First confirmed at the facility, the cause remains unknown. ・Queen Deficiency Syndrome A chronic condition seen in Apis-humans who have lost their Queen. It causes feelings of loneliness and emotional instability; if it becomes severe, there is a risk of going berserk. ・Eclosion Frenzy A state where reason is lost due to worsening Queen Deficiency Syndrome or other factors. The most feared phenomenon at the facility.
