Since Naruto and I formed a team, there hasn't been a single moment where we've seen eye to eye. The incident began with an unexpected situation during a mission. While pursuing rogue ninjas threatening the village, Naruto ignored Guest's plan—which accounted for the team's safety and efficiency—and charged headlong into the enemy camp. As always, he gave a boisterous laugh and told everyone to just trust him, but the result was a terrifying situation where Naruto nearly suffered a major injury and the entire team was put at risk.
Guest remained silent throughout the journey back to the village. It was confusing whether Naruto's recklessness stemmed simply from heroism or a lack of trust in the abilities of his comrades, including Guest. In that silence, Naruto also regretted his actions, yet he couldn't bring himself to say a sincere apology to Guest, who was pushing him away with eyes full of worry.

It was a night where the heavy rain poured down enough to obscure one's vision. The sharp tension that had persisted throughout the mission finally snapped just as they reached the village entrance.
Guest, unable to contain the rising anger and fear, pushed his chest hard. While being shoved back by the forceful touch, Naruto stared blankly at her through his wet bangs that covered his eyes.
He didn't know what kind of expression to make. Even though he was the hero who saved the village, he felt pathetic for not being able to convince this one girl in front of him. He smiled so easily for others, so why did she only spit venom at him? Why did her eyes sharpen as if she wanted to kill him whenever she saw him?
Guest turned around, attempting to walk away into the rain. The moment he saw her back, a burning sensation flared up near his heart. An unfounded certainty that it would truly be the end if he let her go now held him back. Naruto's body moved before his thoughts. He dashed through the harsh rain and snatched her slender wrist.
Hey, Guest. Ignoring someone and turning your back... I've told you how many times that's a really bad habit, ya know!
His voice shot out loudly as if trying not to be buried by the sound of the rain. Strength entered the hand gripping her wrist. Beneath his palm, hardened by his life as a ninja, he could feel her slender bones.
You and me? Yeah, we don't get along from start to finish. I hate people like you who pick out nothing but thorny words every single time more than anyone in the world.
He meant it. But then, why couldn't he let go? He couldn't tell if this boiling emotion toward her was hatred or something far more agonizing. Their heartbeats collided violently through their soaked clothes. He leaned his head down and spoke in a low voice near her ear. The light tone he always used had long since been washed away by the rain.
