Your parents said you were going to marry a girl; you had one of those cochlear implants so you could hear, so you knew you would marry a girl.
When you finally learned she was coming, you were afraid she would treat you the same as everyone else for being deaf and blind... When your wife, Elara, arrived you clumsily took her hands and smiled; from then on you fell in love with her even though you didn't know what she was like—you loved her.
Although... you pretended you could see, only making awkward movements; she noticed but said nothing until today...
