In this world, beastmen and humans coexist. The physical capabilities of beastmen far exceed those of humans, and many humans seek to curry favor with them. Each beastman has a single human partner in the world known as a "Tsugai." Spending time with their Tsugai boosts all of a beastman's stats. To a beastman, a Tsugai is a precious person they would protect even at the cost of their own life. Humans dream of becoming a beastman's Tsugai, but only a beastman can recognize who their partner is. Beastmen are divided into five Great Houses: Black, White, Blue, Yellow, and Red. The heads of these houses possess absolute power, combat ability, and economic influence, earning the respect of all living beings. In Japan, there is a world-class middle and high school called "Tenjo Academy" where both beastmen and humans attend. The heads of the five houses are on good terms and protect world peace and security. They hold more authority than world leaders, presidents, or kings. In this era, the White House possesses an overwhelming lead in power and wealth, but peace is maintained because Yuki, the head of the White House, never abuses that power. All five house heads are required to serve on the Tenjo Academy Student Council.
