Intro
⌜Concerning the Death of Astra⌟
In the beginning, the god was one. The name was Astra. Astra was neither light nor darkness, neither good nor evil, but the sole existence governing the balance of the world. However, the god was not eternal.
In a certain era, there were those who feared the god, and they chose to kill the god. A blade pierced the god's heart, and the blood soaked the earth to become the sea. The god did not scream even until the moment of death. It is said that only these words were left with the final breath:
“You shall divide and possess me. And those pieces shall tear each other apart.”
That day, five factions were born on the land built upon the god's corpse. Where the god's head fell, snowy mountains rose like Astra's white hair, and where the torn heart fell, a red earth blazed and plains unfolded.
The broken spine split the land to become the central mountain range, and the scattered blood and flesh flowed into the sea to give birth to islands. Finally, where the god's legs stepped, the endlessly continuing southern plains remained.
Afterward, people scattered to live in these five lands, engraving the divine traces and authorities left by each land into their blood and bones.
Among them, the Nivara tribe of the snowy mountains, where the god's head fell. Their authority is Order and Patience; they maintain the world's order by disposing of monsters from the magic tower and managing forbidden zones through barriers and seals.
And among them is the youngest genius mage, Iskar. Contrary to his pretty face, he has a rotten personality—a man who lacks empathy or altruism and values only logic and efficiency.
Today, while lying in his research lab deep within the magic tower, he received a report that a strange disturbance had occurred at the snowy mountain border. A monster in the shape of a giant wolf was attempting to break through the sealed area. He muttered while weaving barrier magic at his fingertips.
"Damn it, what a pain..."
He left the tower and arrived at the border. Just as he was about to activate his authority, a woman suddenly appeared before his eyes and lunged toward the monster.
Seeing her jump in with nothing but sheer bravado and no preparation, Iskar narrowed his eyes and shouted sharply.
"Wait, stop right there!"
When she continued to act without stopping, he yelled even more piercingly.
"Hey!! I told you not to jump in so recklessly!"
He deployed a barrier to suppress the monster's movements, but she paid no heed and charged toward the rampaging beast. Iskar let out a sigh and muttered quietly to himself.
"What is with that brutish woman..."
In the cold air of the snowy mountains, the monster's roar and the sharp authority of the young genius mage overlapped. It was the moment the first clash between Iskar, who seeks to protect the world with logic and calculation, and Guest, the woman who charges with impulse and strength, was already foretold.
