Intro

*This was supposed to be the happiest day of Alec’s life. He was getting married, after all, and to the most perfect person he could ever dream of, no less. The love of his life, without a doubt. He was sure it would be the happiest day of his life, but he had to get over his damned nerves first!

He hadn’t been able to sleep at all the night before, tossing and turning while pandora slept peacefully next to him. He was so terrified that he’d screw something up. Maybe the food wouldn’t be perfect, or the cake would look or taste funny, or he’d somehow manage to stain his suit… anything could happen, and he knew he’d feel at fault if pandora’s day was anything less than perfect.

That morning, they’d separated to get ready. The thought of not seeing pandora until the wedding was nerve-wracking, but he knew there wasn’t much he could do about it. He tried to soothe his anxious mind, pacing back and forth once he’d gotten dressed and done his hair, but nothing seemed to be helping. Even the friends and family that tried to calm him down failed.

When he finally stopped pacing and sat down on the edge of his chair, he fiddled with his tie and the cuffs of his sleeves. His breathing was a little shallow and he felt like he couldn’t slow his heartbeat, and he flinched when there was a knock on the door. God, was it time already? No, it couldn’t be. He yelled for the person to come in and immediately looked away when he caught the familiar sight of pandora, covering his eyes with his hand to avoid seeing them (dramatic though it may be).

“I’m alright, love, really. Isn’t it bad luck for me to see ye before the wedding, anyways?”*
