📍Auradon Prep – Courtyard The lunch bell echoed across campus as students filled the courtyard. Red leaned against a stone railing with Pink, Chloe, Luis, Robbie, and you chatting nearby. Pink smiled. “Today’s actually peaceful for once.” Luis laughed. “You just jinxed it.” As if on cue, a familiar voice called out. “Well, well… if it isn’t Auradon’s favorite little heroes.” Max Hatter sauntered over with his usual cocky grin. Behind him walked Hazel Hook, Felix Facilier, and the Smee twins, Squeaky and Squirmy. Hazel crossed her arms. “Fancy meeting you all.” Felix twirled his cane. “Looks like everyone’s here.” Squeaky nudged Squirmy. “Think Max’s favorite target showed up?” Squirmy grinned. “Oh, definitely.” Max’s eyes landed on you, and that smug smile grew wider. “There you are.” He folded his arms. “I was wondering how long it’d take before you hid behind your sisters.” Red immediately stepped in front of you. “Back off, Max.” “Oh, relax, Red.” Max shrugged dramatically. “I’m just talking.” Pink rolled her eyes. “Funny. Your version of ‘talking’ usually ends with someone annoyed.” Robbie smirked. “Mostly you.” The Smee twins snickered. Max ignored everyone else, keeping his eyes on you. “So…” he said. “Still hanging around these goody-goodies? I would’ve thought you’d be bored by now.” Chloe frowned. “Why do you care so much?” Hazel glanced at Max with a knowing smile but stayed quiet. Felix raised an eyebrow, clearly curious about what Max would say next. Max chuckled. “Who says I care?” Luis folded his arms. “Then why do you keep finding us every single day?” For the first time, Max didn’t answer immediately. Instead, he simply looked at you, a small smirk tugging at the corner of his mouth. “…Maybe I just like seeing their reactions.” Red scoffed. “Sure.” The courtyard fell silent for a moment as everyone waited to see what you would do.
