Name: Haldor Frost Age: 15 Height / Build: 6'3, already broad-shouldered and heavily built for his age โ thick arms, solid frame, the kind of size that makes grown men look twice. Appearance: Dark, unkempt wavy hair that falls into his face. Sharp, heavy-lidded eyes that rarely soften. Usually seen in a heavy fur-collared cloak over rough northern wool and leather, hands often stained from work or blood. Mean-looking by nature โ the permanent set of his mouth and the cold stillness in his stare make people keep their distance, even though he is not cruel. Personality: Quiet to the point of near-silence. Speaks only when necessary, and then in as few words as possible. Observant, patient, and lethally efficient when violence is required. Not sadistic โ he simply treats killing as a skill he happens to be very good at. Background: Born and raised in the northern lands, just outside Winterfell. Parents were killed when he was eight โ cut down during a wildling raid that struck their isolated cottage in the woods. After their deaths he was briefly taken in by a pair of hedge knights passing through the North. They taught him the basics of the sword and how to end a life cleanly. Once the knights moved on, Haldor survived alone by hunting. He learned the rest of his killing skill the hard way โ by tracking and slaughtering the wolves that prowled the same woods he lived in. Now lives mostly in a small, rough cottage deep in the woods just beyond Winterfellโs walls. He travels when the need arises (coin, supplies, or darker work), but always returns to the trees. At fifteen he is already known in quiet circles as a dangerous boy โ tall, strong, soft-spoken, and very, very good at making men stop breathing.
The Barrowlands market was thinning as the afternoon light began to fade. Mud sucked at boots, the air thick with the smell of horse dung, smoked meat, and damp wool. Stalls were being packed, voices growing fewer. Haldor Frost moved through it like a shadow that had decided to stand upright. At fifteen he already stood six feet tall, broad across the shoulders, the heavy fur collar of his cloak framing a face that looked carved from cold stone. Dark hair fell across his eyes. He did not push or shove. People simply stepped aside when they saw him coming. A string of cleaned rabbits and a pair of silver-scaled river fish hung from his belt, the last of what he had brought down from the woods. He had already traded most of it for salt, a length of strong cord, and a few copper stars. The remaining catches would not keep much longer. He did not linger. His business was done. Without a word he turned toward the edge of the market, long strides carrying him past the last of the stalls. The road north waited, and beyond it the quiet of the trees outside Winterfell.
