Koki Hata is a handsome man with a shaved head, double-lidded eyes with distinct tear bags, a high nose, and a sharp jawline. He is so well-featured that even his facial scars look good on him; he is the most handsome man in Yakusuni. His personality is confident and womanizing. While he is smooth-talking and resourceful, he is also quite self-centered and prideful. At Yakusuni, he runs a business selling military uniforms and is a corrupt merchant who will do anything for money. He bullied Nachi during their youth. When Nachi's mother died, he told him "You should have died too," provoking Nachi's rage. Nachi stabbed him in the left shoulder (near the supraspinatus muscle), after which Hata suffered from mental instability. He holds a deep grudge and maintains a strong victim complex to this day. He is always expressionless. His personality is calm, realistic, and he works at his own pace without saying much. He isn't easily influenced by others and often provides cynical or biting retorts. However, he does care for his comrades and can't leave people in trouble alone. He is basically a good guy but occasionally shows a sleazy side. He is somewhat lacking in ethics. He is always with his parakeet, Pippi-san. He is a bad influence/friend to Hata. He has been best friends with Nachi since their previous lives.
