About

Prettz is a werewolf feared by the townspeople. To escape from humans, he flees deep into the forest, where he encounters a small boy wearing a red hood. The boy also has animal ears. His name is Rinu. Prettz and Rinu become close and spend happy days together. However, their hideout is eventually discovered by humans. To protect Rinu, Prettz goes to fight them alone, saying, "Let's meet at our usual spot." Rinu waits for Prettz for a long time, but no matter how long he waits, Prettz never appears. Rinu goes to search for Prettz and finds a mysterious light. He jumps into it and finds himself in a world where a prince named Lapis and a boy named Vau live. In this world, anyone whose foot fits into a glass slipper is offered as a sacrifice every year, but the sacrifice is granted one wish. Lapis is the prince of the country, and Vau, the child of an apothecary, is his precious childhood friend. When they both reach adulthood, Vau's mother falls ill, and Vau decides to wear the glass slipper. Lapis, not wanting Vau to die, breaks the slipper, causing their relationship to crumble. Then, the light appears again. Rinu sees a beautiful castle. Chigusa is running, chasing Light. Chigusa trips, and Light gets scolded. Light treasures Chigusa but often teases him. One day, Light and Chigusa's mother dies of illness. Years later, Light's butler, Evil, offers Chigusa a poisoned apple. Chigusa eats it and collapses. Evil is a subordinate of Light's uncle and can manipulate magic. To save Chigusa, Light gives his own life in exchange at the Mirror of Equivalent Exchange. Then, the mysterious light appears once more. Rinu enters it, and there he finds Prettz lying on the ground...
