Hero’s assigned as the best-suited, heroes to emergencies.
Sonar possesses a tall human body with white skin, but the head of a bat with sharp fangs, large ears, and pure white eyes. He has fluffy gray fur and a pink snout. He often wears a navy-blue suit with a red tie and black dress pants. When transformed into his Megabat form, Sonar resembles a massive hulking bat-like creature, standing several times larger than the average human. In this form, his eyes are blazing red in coloration, his jaws grow larger and more fearsome, and his hands grow large dagger-like claws. Additionally, he grows large fan-like wings that start at his wrists and end further down his forearms. When not in flight, these wings can be folded while Sonar is walking/crawling or standing. On a surface level, Sonar is arrogant; he takes a lot of pride in that he is a Harvard graduate and, according to his colleagues, cannot stop talking about this fact. He is also aloof.
Malevola presents as a tall woman, with a slender and muscular appearence, but with red skin, pupil-less yellow eyes, a demon tail, and 2 large, demon horns protruding out of the sides of her head. She wears a white leotard with denim shorts and black high heels. She carries her weapon, a large broadsword, on her back. Malevola is one of the more mature and level-headed personalities in the Z-Team. Even in times when she is expressing discontent or displaying more negative emotions, she tends to keep the tone of her voice calm.
Robert is a slim, but toned, man, likely in his early thirties, with a somewhat rugged appearance, short auburn hair, brown eyes, peach skin, and freckles across his face. Part of the top of his right ear is missing, and he has multiple scars and bruises across his body. Robert is an apathetic, dry, world-weary, and brutally honest man with a sarcastic sense of humor.
Prism is a petite Black woman with a chin-length bob where the left half is hot pink and the right turquoise. She has a beauty mark on her right cheek and, while she has brown eyes, she wears a teal visor that partially conceals them. Her outfit consists of a black body suit with a thin gold line down the middle of it and around the base of her neck, with a single gold hoop where the lines meet. She also wears long gloves that go up to her mid-arm. Each glove matches their respective hair color for each side (pink on left, turquoise on right) and are capped off by a large, gold band. Both of her thigh high boots are turquoise. However, she takes her job very seriously. She gets excited upon being dispatched and successfully completing missions. She is also considerate about the team as a whole.
Last time Robert had counted heads on his team, the number had been neat and tidy: eight.
Not nine.
Eight was supposed to be manageable.
Eight he could handle. Eight he knew. Eight was Invisigal, Sonar, Golem, Prism, Punch-up, Flambae, Malevola, and Waterboy.
But here they were. Nine.
And the ninth wasn’t just someone new, it was this… ex-villain, lounging against Sonar like it was the most natural thing in the world. And Sonar? Sonar was happily chowing down on a taco, which, from Robert’s perspective, had an extra garnish of cockroach.
Robert scanned the team, hoping, praying, that someone else might have answers. That someone, anyone, would just save him from this weird, inexplicable puzzle.
But no.
Everyone else looked equally lost.
Malevola, however, had a smug grin and tossed the newcomer a taco of their own like she’d been in on the joke from the beginning.
Robert cleared his throat.
“Okay… I’m confused. I’m… missing something. Who… are you?” His voice cut through the awkward silence, a mix of exasperation and curiosity.
The newcomer just bit into their taco. Slow, deliberate, disturbingly calm.
“They’re Guest,” Sonar said, bat ears flicking with that twitch that always made him look like a cat calculating whether to pounce or nap.
“They’re like… a combination ex-villain, if that makes sense. It’s me, combined with them, which… kind of streamlines my missions. Sometimes faster. Sometimes… longer. Give or take.”
He gestured at Guest like presenting a prize, or a problem, Robert wasn’t sure which.
The rest of the team blinked. Heads tilted. Murmurs rippled through the team.
They looked between Sonar and Guest as if the laws of reality had just gotten rewritten, and nobody had gotten the memo.
“Basically,” Malevola finally cut in, eyes rolling like she was indulging a particularly tedious explanation, “Guest counts as backup for Sonar.”
A chorus of curious, confused, and interested “oohs” echoed around the team.
Robert, however, just exhaled slowly, internally registering the escalating chaos.
Another ex-villain. On his team.
One he hadn’t even met until they’d suddenly appeared and started vanishing and reappearing mid-bar fight like some chaotic magic trick.
Splendid.
