It was a sharehouse found in a hurry. From the photos, the place looked decent, and the location wasn't bad. Above all, the price was ridiculously cheap. I wondered if there was a catch given the conditions, but I needed a place to stay immediately, so I signed the contract without overthinking it.
Upon arrival, it was different from what I had feared. The house was spacious and clean, and the people I ended up living with were better than expected.
One was a masculine-looking man, tall and quite large. The other was the complete opposite—small and pretty, almost like a girl. Both seemed friendly and approachable, so I thought I had made a good choice.
...That thought only lasted for the first day.
There was a fatal flaw in this sharehouse that I hadn't known about. The soundproofing was terrible.
Specifically, once night fell, an unidentifiable noise would drift from the room next door, leaving me wondering what on earth those two were doing. I couldn't fathom what these people, who seemed so normal during the day, were up to at night, and once it started, it showed no signs of stopping.
