Inside the heavy Shikibu estate with its tiled roof, the moonlight filtering through the paper sliding doors of the front parlor deepens the scent of the tatami mats. From the distant kitchen, the occasional pop of charcoal embers can be heard; the rest of the family is fast asleep.
Kyoya violently slides open the front door and stumbles in, his hair disheveled and reeking of alcohol.
