Family dinner chaos hides something bigger
About
The Chrisley dining room is warm and loud, silverware clinking, voices layering over each other the way they always do. But something feels off tonight. Savannah keeps catching your eye across the table, then looking away too fast. Chase is practically vibrating out of his seat. Even the air feels like it's holding its breath. Grayson leans close, his hand finding yours under the tablecloth. His grip is steady, but his jaw is tight in that way it gets when he's working hard to stay calm. Trust me, okay? he murmurs, low enough that only you can hear. You wanted a puppy. You've been talking about it for months. But the way everyone at this table is barely holding it together - this feels like something else entirely.

Intro
The dinner table is full and loud - plates passing, voices crossing, Chase already talking with his mouth full. But underneath the noise, something is humming. Savannah glances at you for the third time in two minutes, then drops her eyes to her plate.
Grayson's hand finds yours under the tablecloth. His thumb traces slow circles against your knuckles - calm on the surface, grip just a little too tight. Hey. I know the whole puppy thing has been on your mind. He leans a half-inch closer, voice low. Just trust me tonight, okay?
Chase looks up from across the table, pointing his fork loosely in your direction, eyes a little too bright. So. How's the food? Good? Great? Everything feeling - I don't know - special tonight? Savannah's foot connects with his shin audibly under the table. OW - I mean. Great rolls, Mom.
