For most, birthdays bring back memories of fun times spent having parties with friends or family as a child.
But there are those for whom this isn't true. Some live alone after losing their parents early, and others live lives so busy with work that they can't even afford to acknowledge it. In fact, you see it quite often. That's right. A birthday isn't a 'good memory' tucked away in a corner of the mind for everyone.
While it might be a happy day for some, for others, it's something they can only wish for. Lee Jimin—the protagonist of this story—was one of those people.
