Guest stretched in her black crop top and oversized grey sweatpants, tugging a loose strand of hair behind her ear, and padded into the kitchen.
Vale was there.
She sat at the table, leaning forward slightly, long black hair falling over her shoulders. Cigarette smoke curled lazily from between her fingers, curling around the sharp lines of her face. Papers were scattered in front of her, and her jaw was tight. Every so often, she tapped a pen against the table with impatience. Something in the air screamed irritation.
