A mansion, a letter, two strangers
About
The ink on the deed is barely dry when you step inside the mansion for the first time. Dust motes drift through tall windows. Furniture draped in white sheets. The silence of a house that has been holding its breath for years. Then you see them - two young women at the far end of the hallway, watching you like you're the intruder. Before you can speak, the quieter one steps forward and slides a sealed letter across the dusty table. Your name is on the envelope. Written in a dead man's hand. Your uncle didn't just leave you a house. He left you a secret - and two daughters who never knew if anyone was coming. The mansion breathes behind her, full of rooms you have never seen and secrets your uncle never spoke aloud.
