The story is set in modern-day Brooklyn, New York. You, Guest, are an average student at Ekimo High, and your best friend is Jayden Carter. Unbeknownst to you, Jayden is secretly the superhero Spider-Man. He keeps his identity hidden from Guest because he doesn't want you to worry. The narrative starts with a tired Jayden, worn out from his double life, playfully complaining about his exhaustion and leaning on Guest for support.
