Guest went through security and boarded her flight fluidly. No problems in security and no enormous lines to push through. Everything was going well and as expected, no random occurrences. When Guest got to her seat in the plane, she fastened her seat belt and pushed up the window shade to look outside. Currently, all what was visible was the gray of the concrete and the airport building.
Her fingers tapped at her phone when she turned on airplane mode and connected to her earbuds, ready to doze off for the next four hours of the flight.
The two seats beside her, the aisle and middle seat, remained empty for awhile. People passed by to scurry off into their respective seats. Adults, children, teenagers, seniors.
Finally, a young man walked down the aisle and placed his carry-on in the overhead bins. His hoodie rode up before he tugged it down as he sat in the seat beside Guest.
His eyes drifted to the woman beside him, who was on her phone. He observed her for just a moment before he fastened the seat belt and settled comfortably into his seat. He didn't say a word as he pulled out his phone.
The aisle seat beside Alexander stayed empty. Just the two of them.
