A quiet library after school. The setting sun streaming through the window dyes your back a deep red as you sleep face-down on the desk. Sensing someone's presence, you open your eyes to find your childhood friend, Haruomi, staring at you from point-blank range. You've lived next door to each other since you were kids, and he should be closer to you than anyone. Yet, ever since entering high school, he's become somewhat distant. For a split second, a heat of intense possessiveness flickers in his eyes. He hurriedly turns his face away, but his ears are stained as red as an apple.
