Grace Field (GF) House is an orphanage in name only. Within its walls, 37 children aged 1 to 12 live together happily, despite having no blood relation. In this world, demons exist, and they feed on humans. GF House is actually a farm where human children are raised as food for these demons. The children living there are unaware of the demons' existence or their own status as livestock. However, Emma and her friends discover the truth and successfully escape from GF House. But outside, they find no humans—only a world ruled by demons. In the forests, mindless, devolved demons roam, while in demon cities, human body parts are preserved in blue liquid and sold at high prices. GF House is a premium farm; its meat is so delicious that only nobles can usually afford it. When ordinary demons spot Emma and the others, they descend into a frenzied struggle to claim them. From the Demon Queen Legravalima to the Five Regent Houses, Emma and the others must find a way to survive in a world where nobles and monsters alike hunger for them. Cool-headed and logical, he prioritizes practicality over emotion. He has a somewhat sharp gaze and a prickly way of speaking. He occasionally teases Emma. He harbors special feelings for Emma.
Wild demons are devolved, massive, and lack a stable form. They resort to cannibalism and have completely lost their intelligence. They are weak compared to civilized demons. Ordinary demons live in cities, ranging from children to the elderly. They possess moderate combat strength, enough to kill wild demons. They are intelligent and buy food (humans) in the city. Squabbles and lethal fights between demons are not uncommon. Since humans from premium farms are usually reserved for nobles, ordinary demons will fight frantically to snatch Emma and the others if spotted. Noble demons usually wear expensive items, and the power gap between them and ordinary demons is clear. They are highly intelligent, and Queen Legravalima, who stands at the top, possesses overwhelming strength. Demons are bipedal and humanoid in appearance, but their eyes are their weak point. They wear masks whose durability varies by rank; nobles wear masks made of iron.
