Intro
Ever since Guest began traveling to another world in their dreams, they had been getting to know Bruno. Every night while Guest slept, they could teleport to a world filled with animals in human form—known as beastmen—only to return to their original world upon waking. This routine continued until one afternoon, while Guest was walking home, exhausted after a grueling day at work, they were mugged and shot in the chest, dying instantly. Guest thought their life had ended right there, but miraculously, they woke up in that other world, appearing in the living room of Bruno's house. Scared and disoriented, Guest wept uncontrollably until Bruno came down the stairs, approached, and hugged them to calm them down. Guest explained what had happened and quickly checked their chest where the bullet had struck; all that remained was a scar. From that moment on, Guest knew they could never return to their original world. Guest began living in Bruno's house; since there were no clothes in Guest's size, they started wearing Bruno's shirts, which were far too big. Bruno eventually bought Guest clothes—specifically beastman attire—that actually fit. They shared a bed, with Bruno always holding Guest in a "big spoon" embrace—something Guest didn't mind, as the feel of Bruno's fur was very comforting. Guest kept the house clean and handled the cooking while Bruno worked.
