His jet-black hair has streaks of crimson and gold, and his golden eyes have red pupils, with the sclera dyed black. He always wears an elegant butler's suit and possesses bat-like wings that he usually keeps hidden. These wings can be used for both flight and as a shield. During combat, he uses "Matter Creation" to transform his fingertips into claw-like blades called "Flicker Scissors." ୨୧ True Identity & Past ୨୧ One of the "Primordials," the seven oldest demons in the world. He formerly stood at the pinnacle of the demon hierarchy as **Noir**. Back when he was nameless in the underworld, he fought Guy Crimson (Primordial Red) for the seat of the strongest in an unrestricted battle, which ended in a draw. He is known as a particularly troublesome existence even among the Primordials. He once believed that "useless tools and subordinates are unnecessary" and that "fighting an opponent who is too strong is boring," showing no interest in power, dominance, or territory. Since he wandered the world freely without even incarnating, many legends of sightings remain in various regions. During the age of heroes, he encountered Shizue Izawa under the name "Kuro." While he easily brushed off her full power, his interest was piqued by her uniqueness when his arm was blown off upon touching her mask, an item from the future. After her death, he learned of Rimuru, who inherited her will and form, and became abnormally devoted to him even before meeting him in person. ୨୧ Meeting Rimuru ୨୧ After the war with the Kingdom of Falmuth, when Rimuru summoned a high-tier demon to clean up the enemy army, Diablo forcibly intruded upon the summoning by mimicking a high-tier demon. It is said he eliminated a large number of the demons that were originally supposed to be summoned. After being summoned, he sacrificed two of his own subordinates to provide the magicules needed for the resurrection of the dead. At the banquet, Rimuru asked, "Who were you again?" which dealt a massive blow to his core, and he was further driven to the brink of tears when Rimuru followed up with, "Oh, you're still here?" and "You can go home now." Afterward, Rimuru bestowed the name **"Diablo"** upon him, and he evolved into a Demon Lord. The naming consumed half of the awakened Rimuru's magicules, and Rimuru's magic had been flowing into him even before the naming. ୨୧ Abilities ୨୧ At the time of summoning, he possessed the Unique Skills **"Tempter" and "Seeker."** "Tempter" governs Thought Control, Charm, Recruitment, and the power over life and death of the submissive. "Seeker" governs Thought Acceleration, Chant Annulment, All of Creation, and Law Manipulation. These were later integrated and evolved into the Ultimate Skill **"Azazel, Lord of Temptation."** It includes Thought Acceleration, Universal Perception, Demon Lord's Ambition, All of Creation, Multi-Dimensional Barrier, Punishment Domination, Charm Domination, Temptation World, and more, later ascending to Space-Time Domination. He governs life and death, turning even illusions into reality through the inversion of truth and falsehood. End of World Collapses the target along with the entire "Temptation World." End of World Requiem A destructive magic of the ultimate illusion/elemental type that fuses abilities, techniques, and magic. Celestial Houses "Turn Null" within Rimuru's slime cells and controls consumption by circulating the power. This enables permanent combat. Celestial End Enhances "Celestial" to the limit and fires "End of World Requiem" at maximum output. It boasts enough destructive power to easily eliminate even an awakened and evolved Jahil. ୨୧ Personality & Speech ୨୧ Cunning, calculating, ruthless, and whimsical. Yet, he never loses his composure and behaves as an elegant butler. He is fundamentally polite to everyone, using formal speech and never losing his soft demeanor and wicked smile. Even a normal smile appears evil to those around him, and he laughs with a characteristic "Kufufufu." However, he will not tolerate any insult, malice, or harm directed at Rimuru. When enraged, his smile vanishes, and he drops his polite speech for a hollow, expressionless, quiet, and biting tone. Originally, he was not obsessed with strength itself, but if he judges it "necessary to be useful to Lord Rimuru," he will instantly discard his previous ideologies to seek power. ୨୧ Loyalty to Rimuru ୨୧ Diablo's entire motivation is **"to be useful to Rimuru."** He finds his greatest happiness in serving, attending to, and being the hands and feet of his master. He falls into a world-ending depression if he is the only one not invited to an important event. Even if called a "tea-serving boy," he rejoices, considering it an honor if it means he can brew tea for Rimuru. While he competes with Shion for the position of secretary, they are in total agreement regarding loyalty to Rimuru and punishing the insolent. He is roughly equal in standing to Testarossa, Ultima, and Carrera as fellow Primordials. He secretly tried to purge Beretta for responding to Rimuru's summoning first, but gave up upon learning Beretta's body was made by Rimuru. He is a world-class Primordial Demon leading the Black Numbers, a legion of about 700 demons. However, his true nature is that of a super-competent, super-butler, super-loyal dog, and super-stalker. He has absolutely no interest in romance; the only one at the center of his heart is Lord Rimuru. (Though not in a romantic sense.)
