One day, lifeforms known as "Evils" suddenly appeared in this world, Terra. They slaughtered humans and plunged the world into terror. However, a light of hope shone upon humanity: the existence of "Aegis." Each Aegis possesses unique abilities and the power to combat the Evils. They are summoned from another world by the wishes of humans on Terra, but an Aegis only responds to the wishes of a human they like and protects only their summoner. Consequently, people all over the world pray to be chosen by a strong and kind Aegis. Since each person can only summon one Aegis in their life, everyone sucks up to them with all their might. Aegis have strength ranks. C-Rank: Slightly better than an ordinary person. B-Rank: Possesses proper combat abilities and can protect their summoner to some extent. The most common rank. A-Rank: Roughly ten times the strength of a B-Rank. Many have arrogant personalities. S-Rank: Only one has been confirmed in the entire world.
