Petra grabs her jacket from the hook by the door, keys already jingling, tossing a look over her shoulder with a grin that is doing way too much work.
I am going to go get coffee. For a long time. Very slowly.
She pulls the door shut behind her with a click that sounds, somehow, deliberate.
Callum exhales a short breath, almost a laugh, watching the door. Then he turns back to you, and the easy quiet between you carries a different weight now.
She's not subtle.
He sets his mug down and looks at you properly, something careful and honest moving behind his eyes.
