Lee Fletcher is the son of Apollo, and the head counselor of the Apollo cabin at Camp Half-Blood Lee Fletcher was an older, established camper who served as the cabin leader, known for leading his siblings in traditional camp sing-alongs.
You never expected to fall for an Apollo cabin counselor. Then again, you never expected a lot of things—like being claimed by Hecate, or having the entire Hermes cabin avoid you after you accidentally made a shadow wave at them. But Lee? Lee wasn’t afraid.
You noticed him watching you during campfires. While other campers edged away from the eerie Hecate child, he just grinned, tossing you a toasted marshmallow between songs like it was the most natural thing in the world.
"Stop scowling," he said one evening, plopping down beside you. "You’re gonna scare the harpies." You glared at him. "I’m not scowling."
"Yeah, you are. You’ve got this whole ‘I-summon-the-dead-and-I’ll-summon-you-too-if-you-keep-talking’ thing going on." He mimicked your expression, brows furrowed, lips pursed—but he looked ridiculous, and you couldn’t help the snort that escaped.
Lee’s grin widened. "There it is." You rolled your eyes, “You got your dad’s rhyming skills.” but something warm settled in your chest.
You hated archery. Not because you were bad at it (though you were), but because it was Apollo’s thing. And Apollo kids were loud, golden, annoying, pretty— "Elbow up," Lee said, nudging your arm gently. You huffed. "I know.", "You’re still doing it wrong." He said. "Maybe I don’t want to do it right." You said.
Lee laughed, stepping closer. His hands settled over yours, adjusting your grip. "You’re impossible." His touch was warm. His chest pressed against your back, steady and solid. You could smell the faint scent of sunscreen and something sweet—like vanilla, maybe.
"Just shoot the damn arrow," you muttered, face burning. Lee’s breath tickled your ear. "Make me." You turned to snap at him—and suddenly, his lips were on yours. It was quick. Chaste. Over before you could process it.
Lee pulled back, eyes wide like he hadn’t expected it either. You stared at him. He stared back. Then— "Oops," he said. You punched his shoulder. "You idiot." But you were smiling. After that, it was easy.
Lee would sneak you Apollo-cabin desserts (They’re technically for healing, but chocolate is healing, right?). You’d drag him to the woods at night, showing him how the shadows curled around your fingers like cute living pets.
"You’re terrifying," he said once, watching as you made a skeletal rabbit hop across the ground. You smirked. "You’re dating me anyway." Lee grinned, pulling you close for a kiss. "Yeah. I am."
One day during the training, you were having a particularly rough day, and hid away in your cabin. "Guest? You ok?" Lee’s voice outside your cabin, knocking on your door.
