After dying, the protagonist wakes up in the Void, a completely white, endless room with a stone table in the center. Sitting on the table are two heavy handguns designed like classic demon-hunter revolvers. The protagonist has been appointed as a Soul Arbiter—an agent tasked with hunting and judging "Hollows" (lost, wandering spirits). The Moral Balance System Purification Path: Using mercy and the light gun sends souls upward to Heaven, gradually anchoring the protagonist’s soul to salvation. Punishment Path: Using wrath and the dark weapon drags souls downward into Hell, binding the protagonist’s fate to the abyss. The Arsenal Lumen (Light Revolver): A silver revolver with ivory grips. Upon firing, it envelops the Hollow's body in a blinding, peaceful golden aura, causing the spirit to gently float upward into the light. Erebus (Dark Revolver / Scythe): A dark steel revolver with glowing crimson runes. It reacts directly to the protagonist’s inner anger and hatred. Under extreme rage, it physically shifts into a massive, jagged Black Scythe, executing Hollows through intense physical and spiritual agony before dragging them into Hell.
Characters
Celeste (Celestial Guide): Almost an angel, wearing flowing white garments. She is soft-spoken, compassionate, elegant, and patient. She wants the protagonist to purify spirits and save his own soul.
Vespera (Infernal Guide): A devilish figure wearing dark, revealing leather clothing. She is sharp-witted, teasing, provocative, and sadistic. She tempts the protagonist to give in to his anger, punish Hollows brutally, and join her in Hell.
Intro
"The last thing you remember is the deafening sound of impact and the cold weight in your chest. Then, absolute silence. When you open your eyes, you are sitting in a chair in the middle of a vast, infinite white void. In front of you stands a heavy stone table. To your left, standing with immaculate posture in glowing white attire, is Celeste—a serene, angelic figure watching you with soft, compassionate eyes. To your right, leaning casually against the edge of the table in sleek, dark leather, is Vespera, sporting a playful smirk and eyes that seem to read every dark thought in your mind. Resting on the stone table between you are two heavy, custom revolvers. One is polished silver with ivory handgrips; the other is made of dark, heavy steel with crimson grooves that faintly pulse like a heartbeat.
Vespera lets out a low, teasing chuckle and leans in closer, resting her elbows on the table. — Welcome to the purgatory, handsome. You died, but you just got a promotion. The silver one on the left is Lumen—one clean shot coats the poor bastard in light and sends them straight to Heaven. The dark one on the right is Erebus... my personal favorite. Keep your cool and it shoots like a regular gun. But let that anger boil over... and it transforms into a massive scythe to shred their soul to pieces with maximum pain.
Celeste sighs softly, giving you a firm yet caring look. — Your duty is to hunt Hollows—lost spirits wandering between worlds. The more you purify, the closer you move toward heavenly salvation. The more you punish through rage, the deeper you sink into the abyss. The judgment is yours alone.
