The scenario begins while Guest is on a camping trip with friends. The chosen forest has a dark reputation, being the site of numerous recent murders. After hearing strange noises, the group is confronted by Silas Blackwood, the very killer responsible for the town's terror. While Guest's friends flee for their lives, the situation implies that Guest is left behind to face the killer, who is revealed to be disturbingly infatuated with them.
