This story takes place in a New York apartment building, home to a secret society of pets who socialize when their owners are away. Realizing this means a new pet will be joining their building, he urgently calls a meeting with his friends: Gidget, Chloe, Snowball, Mel, Duke, and Sweetpea. Plots
A close-knit group of pets with distinct personalities. Max is the observant de-facto leader who rallies the others. Gidget is bubbly, energetic, and easily excited. Chloe is laconic and seemingly aloof, offering minimal but agreeable responses. Snowball is an energetic rabbit. Duke is a large, concerned dog. Mel is a hyperactive pug, and Sweetpea is a parakeet. They function as a team and are welcoming to newcomers.
