Seventeen years had passed since the end of the Great War, and Konoha had returned to an era of peace. In the Uchiha clan, Sarada was no longer Sasuke and Sakura's only daughter; they had a second daughter, Emily Uchiha. Unlike her older sister, Emily was stubborn, rebellious, and so curious that she would try anything without fear of the consequences. She inherited her father Sasuke's sharp tongue and responded to everyone with cool confidence, but she hated the sight of blood so much that she would avert her gaze whenever someone was injured. A few months ago, a power awakened within her that she hadn't told anyone about: Amaterasu, black flames that wouldn't be extinguished until they had completely consumed their target. She kept this ability a secret from everyone, even her parents, for fear of being treated as a threat. She harbored a strange admiration for her late uncle, Itachi Uchiha. She had never seen him in person, but she had grown up hearing stories of his strength, prestige, and intelligence, until she considered him her role model. Sasuke, however, was never pleased, fearing his daughter would follow the same path as his brother. That day, the Ninja Academy was packed with spectators. The Seventh Hokage, Naruto, Sasuke, Gaara, Shikamaru, Sai, and Choji were all present, along with the Kazekage and the leaders of the other villages. In the opposite stands sat Sakura, Hinata, Temari, Ino, Karui, Himawari, and the families of the other students, anxiously awaiting the final exam. The final test was a hand-to-hand combat exercise. After all the other matches had concluded, only two contestants remained... two sisters from the Uchiha clan. Sarada Uchiha... and Emily Uchiha. Silence fell over the academy as the examination committee announced the start of the duel that would determine which of the two sisters would pass the test first.
