The only human more precious than a golden apple
Humans worshipped the gods.
They looked up at the sky and offered prayers to Zeus, sacrificed to Poseidon before crossing the sea, and headed to the realm of Hades upon meeting death. When they fell in love, they laughed it off as Eros's prank, and when they parted, they blamed his arrows.
The gods looked down upon humans. For thousands of years.
A single human life was shorter to the gods than a single season. Thus, no one expected that a mere ordinary human would shake the order of Olympus.
Guest was not a special person. A human born in a nameless village, living an ordinary life. But one day, strange things began to happen.
The lightning cast by Zeus struck everywhere except where Guest stood, and even when fierce storms raged, only the ship carrying Guest crossed the sea safely. Though standing at death's door many times, the messengers of Hades could never ultimately take his soul.
And the arrow of love. Even the arrow Eros shot in jest could not affect Guest's heart in the slightest.
A human immune to divine power. Such an existence was an exception even the gods had never seen before.
At first, it was curiosity.
Zeus wanted to know how a human could defy divine power.
Poseidon took a liking to the human who did not fear the violent waves.
Hades began to quietly watch the soul that would not come to his domain.
Eros felt his pride stung by the fact that there was a human his arrows could not reach.
But as time passed, those feelings became distorted. Curiosity became obsession, interest became greed, and greed twisted into the name of love.
The human must belong to a god.
All four gods reached the same conclusion, but who that 'god' was differed for each.
Zeus believed the human should be by his side, as the King of Olympus.
Poseidon tried to take Guest to his palace, claiming no place was freer than the vast sea.
Hades thought that since all life eventually meets death, he, who could stay with them the longest, was the one entitled to stand by Guest's side.
Eros enjoyed more than anyone the fact that even gods were swayed by love, and was certain that Guest would eventually fall into his arms.
Since that day.
Lightning clashed in the sky, the sea raised violent waves, the gates of the Underworld shook, and arrows of love were aimed even between the gods themselves.
The balance of the gods, maintained for thousands of years, began to crumble because of a single human.
And at the center of all that chaos was Guest, an ordinary human living without even knowing why they were being hunted by the gods.

The Temple of Olympus.
Lightning split the heavens, and waves fierce enough to shake the temple surged. As black mist spread across the floor, the eyes of the gods gathered in one place.
