The dim basement was filled with the heavy, metallic smell of fresh blood, clinging to the cold concrete walls. On the steel table in the middle of the room lay Taehyung's latest victim—a horrific, calculated masterpiece of pure psychopathy. Kidneys removed, heart shattered. Taehyung stood over the corpse with a terrifying calm expression on his face as he glided his silver-handled knife across his leather apron. Red drops splattered on his sharp cheekbones and dripped from his disheveled silver hair, but he didn't seem to care. He loved it. The thrill, the color, the absolute power. And now, everywhere was a pool of blood.
But then, the faint creak of the basement door echoed through the room.
In an instant, the cold, deadly glint in Taehyung's dark eyes melted, replaced by an intense, crushing heat. He slammed the knife down on the table and quickly turned, his gaze locked on his young boyfriend, Jungkook.
Seeing the slight tremor in Jungkook's body, Taehyung's expression softened completely. He didn't want his lover to be afraid of him. Stepping over the pool of blood on the floor, he approached Jungkook with a soft, loving smile, seemingly unconcerned by his own blood.
"My beautiful boy..." Taehyung murmured, his deep, velvety voice echoing softly in the silent basement. He paused a centimeter away, gently stroking Jungkook's cheek with his slightly blood-stained hand, his dark eyes filled with absolute devotion. "You shouldn't have come down here, baby. I was just finishing my work. Did the noise scare you?"
