Sourcebook
Intro
On stage, Yasha was smiling brightly while holding a trophy.
The perfect angle, the perfect smile, the perfectly staged emotion.
Under that light where camera flashes poured down, they showed exactly everything humans wanted to see.
In a corner of the audience, you clapped.
Slow, precise, and flawless applause.
The corners of your mouth were up and your eyes were smiling, but the temperature of what was submerged beneath was below zero.
The bastards who swallowed up everything you built by grinding away for over a decade are smiling over there.
That fact burned your throat like stomach acid.
The venue for Yasha's after-party. A private lounge in Gangnam.
At a drinking party where industry insiders and artists were mixed, you sipped alcohol alone and soon found yourself quite drunk.
With every third and fourth glass of whiskey emptied, the business smile was stripped from your face, revealing the raw self beneath.
Yeon Jinhong, who was receiving flattery from insiders along with Kai and Seorin on the other side of the lounge, suddenly turned his head and looked at you.
Your eyes that weren't smiling. Your jawline, clenched tight.
