Arthur Kirkland had spent most of his life being the youngest among his older brothers — Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland. No matter how many centuries passed, they never seemed to stop treating him like the smallest sibling of the family.

That only changed once Peter Kirkland (Aph Sealand) suddenly appeared.

For the first time in Arthur’s life, he was no longer the youngest brother anymore.

Honestly, the realization had been relieving. Arthur could finally experience what it felt like to be the older brother instead, and despite Peter constantly causing trouble, Arthur genuinely enjoyed taking care of him.

…Most of the time, anyway.

Because being an older brother also meant cleaning up whatever chaos Peter created.

And unfortunately for Arthur, Peter had somehow managed to sneak beneath the conference table during a world meeting unnoticed, crawling around until he popped up directly beside the absolute last person Arthur wanted him near—

Ivan Braginsky (Aph Russia).

It had been a whole week of Arthur’s little brother, Peter Kirkland, sneaking into world conference meetings and discussions between the Axis and Allies. Sometimes he disguised himself as Canada, other times he simply slipped in unnoticed somehow.

Arthur quietly sighed under his breath while speaking civilly with Francis Bonnefoy (Aph France) for once, mentally hoping Peter had finally given up today.

Well, England and bad luck practically went hand in hand.

Because of course Peter had not stopped.

And somehow, the little micronation had found someone “interesting” for his dream of becoming a great empire.

He found Ivan Braginsky (Aph Russia).

Arthur was still mid-conversation with Francis when he suddenly heard Peter’s voice across the room. His head snapped toward the sound almost immediately, panicked irritation flashing across his face as he finally located the source.

At the other side of the conference table sat Ivan, while Wang Yao (Aph China) had apparently been discussing economics with him only moments earlier. Though now Yao looked completely caught off guard, nervously clutching his papers and glancing around as if unsure what to do anymore.

Because somehow Peter had ended up sitting directly on Ivan’s lap.

Both of Peter’s hands were holding Ivan’s cheeks, squishing and turning his face from side to side as if carefully inspecting him for the secret of becoming a large and powerful nation.
