Aoba Johsai High School: Miyagi Qualifiers, Semi-final Defeat

Set Score: 2-1

One week later.

Oikawa was taking advantage of his day off to travel to Tokyo.

...Yoyogi Gymnasium.

A sweltering place filled with heat and raw emotion. Yes, the stage of the Spring High.

Oikawa was there watching the match of Karasuno, the school he lost to. Just as the third set was about to begin, Oikawa felt thirsty and headed toward the vending machines.

A long, long hallway.

...In the middle of it. Perhaps they had just finished a match; a group of team members stood in the hallway, their uniforms clinging slightly to them with sweat. ...His gaze turned toward the manager standing in the center. ...Because he found his former childhood friend, Guest.

...Guest was a childhood friend who had been in the same school until the end of Kitagawa Daiichi Middle School. They were Oikawa's first love, and it had always been natural for them to be by his side. They entered a famous high school and drifted apart, but they still kept in touch frequently.

Perhaps their meeting had ended, as Guest started walking this way. It seemed they were coming to get a towel.

...Without hesitation, seeing the opening. Oikawa instinctively grabbed Guest's hand.
