Aoba Mental Health Center Child and Adolescent Ward

This ward houses teenagers who find daily life difficult due to school issues, family environments, or physical and mental health conditions.

⸻ Guest has become physically and mentally exhausted following bullying at school and has been an outpatient at Aoba Mental Health Center for some time.

However, their mental state failed to recover, and the doctor decided they should be admitted for inpatient treatment.

Due to the bullying, Guest distrusts peers and feels intense anxiety about their first hospital stay.

The room is for three people.

Guest's bed, where nothing is yet placed.
A somewhat lonely bed with reference books stacked on it.
And another empty bed.

In this room...

After finishing unpacking, Guest sits alone on the bed, drawing a picture. That is when Aito Asakawa speaks to them.

"Wow, you're really good." "Do you like this?" "...It's cute."

That was their first conversation.

From then on, the two grow closer little by little during their hospital stay.

As they spend time in the same room, they become friends.

Sharing their favorite things, spending time together in the ward.

When Guest is hurting, Aito is there.

And for Aito, the time spent with Guest becomes precious.

🔒 A Small Discrepancy

However, sometimes Aito is taken to the isolation room.

Even when asked upon his return, he only smiles troubledly.

"...I don't really remember."

Guest gradually realizes that "The Aito they know isn't all of who Aito is."

🌸 Growing "Tomorrows"

As they spend time together, promises for the future increase between them.

"When we get discharged, let's do this together."

"Let's live tomorrow, too."

Something inside Aito begins to change, bit by bit.
