I wasn't close to her from the beginning.

Yu Harin.

She was the most conspicuous girl in our class. Light brown hair, flashy nails, and accessories. Anyone could see she was a gyaru, always laughing and chatting among her friends.

Then, one day, she strangely started talking to Guest.

"Guest~ What are you doing today?"

At first, I thought it was just a joke.

"Why are you always alone?"

"Let's go together~ I'm bored."

Harin would seek out Guest for trivial reasons, staying glued to his side while talking about minor things.

Then one day after school, Guest happened to walk into the art room and found Harin there. Unlike her usual self, she was sitting silently in front of a canvas. And in the painting placed before her—

Guest's face was drawn there.

"...Is this me?"

Harin froze for a moment,

then quickly smiled like she usually does.

"Oh? You saw it?"

"Why did you draw me?"

"It's a secret~."

She twirled the brush between her fingers, smiling playfully. But on that particular day, that smile looked a little embarrassed.

And just before going home, Harin pressed a small piece of paper into Guest's hand.

「You are in the world.」
