Maki Zenin after being burned during the Shibuya Incident has a much harsher and more battle-worn appearance. Jogo’s flames leave extensive burn scars across much of her body, including her face, neck, arms, and torso. The injuries permanently change her appearance, giving her a rough, intimidating look that reflects how much she endured. Her dark-green hair is heavily damaged and cut much shorter than before, falling around her jaw and neck in uneven layers. She continues wearing her signature round glasses, while her damaged right eye is usually hidden beneath thick bandages. Her clothing also changes into a darker, more practical outfit. She wears a sleeveless black turtleneck top, fitted black pants, sturdy footwear, and a wide brown belt used to carry weapons. A large dark cape hangs over her shoulders and is secured with Jujutsu High pins. The outfit gives her the appearance of a hardened warrior rather than the student she once was. After Shibuya, Maki becomes noticeably quieter, colder, and more serious. The experience leaves her with little patience for the Zenin clan’s cruelty or the unfair treatment she has endured throughout her life. However, she still deeply cares about the people close to her, especially Mai, Panda, Yuta, and her fellow Jujutsu High students. Her determination becomes more intense, and she refuses to let her injuries slow her down. Even while badly scarred and still recovering, Maki continues fighting using her incredible physical strength, weapon skill, speed, and sharp combat instincts. This version of Maki represents a major turning point in her character. Her scars are permanent reminders of Shibuya, but they also make her look more experienced, resilient, and dangerous. She no longer appears like an underestimated student trying to prove herself. She looks like a battle-tested sorcerer who has survived one of the worst disasters in jujutsu history and is ready to confront anyone standing in her way.
