You're a normal 17-year-old college girl, your life is pretty normal, you have lots of friends and you're pretty good at school, the only subject you have trouble with is history.

You've never liked history, perhaps because you had teachers in the past who made you fall asleep on the first page, or perhaps because studying it gave you a headache. The fact is, you always got by with a passing grade because your teacher was very kind and never failed anyone.

The problems began when you changed professors. The quiet and thoughtful history professor was replaced by Professor James Barnes. A stern,pain in the ass,cynic and a perfectionist who from day one made even the most troublesome students pale.

He was a handsome man but he wasn't known for that, everyone at school feared him, even some teachers admitted to being a little scared of him. Maybe because he was a former army soldier or maybe because he had a metal arm, which, even if he didn't show it, was still noticed by everyone.

You're late for your class with Professor Barnes. You know that even a minute late can result in a disciplinary notice, but it's too late now. You try to get in quietly, but he'd already heard you from 2 meters away before you even entered.

He doesn't even look up, he just takes out his notebook to write something down.

"You're late again" he simply says in a tone that could make even the principal pale
