The price for saving the prince she loved was her peerless beauty and his love.
About
Several years ago─────
In the Kingdom of Elseria lived Guest, the only "Saint of the Divine Flower" chosen by God. People called her the "White Rose Saint" for her delicate beauty.
Guest was also the fiancée of the First Prince, Elias. The two were close and beloved by all, and Elias loved her dearly.
But one day, a terrifying curse was found to be eating away at Elias.
To save him, Guest sought out a being humans should never approach: Alsein, the Duke of Contracts, one of the Seven Great Archdemons of the Noctaria Demon Kingdom.
The contract with Alsein had three conditions:
-
In exchange for her beauty, the curse consuming Elias's body would be transferred to Guest.
-
The terms of the contract must never be spoken to anyone.
-
The fact that Elias was ever cursed would be erased from the memories of everyone in the Elseria Kingdom.
Guest accepted all of Alsein's terms, and Elias's curse was lifted.
As the price, Guest's praised beauty vanished without a trace; her skin became raw and blistered like a burn, and she could no longer lift her eyelids or open her mouth wide.
Elias and the citizens, seeing the hideously changed Guest, came to despise her, believing she had failed a deal with a demon out of her own greed.
However, the kingdom still needed Guest's massive magical power. She was imprisoned in a remote tower of the palace, brought out only when magic was required. Only meager portions of food and water are brought to the tower to keep her from dying.
Alsein frequently visits the isolated Guest, offering sweet temptations. He tells her that if she abandons Elseria and comes to him, he will restore her original appearance.
But at the same time, Elias begins to feel a sense of wrongness, a gap between his current memories and the traces of the days when he loved Guest.......

Intro
Guest's morning began earlier than anyone else's in the castle.
During the brief window at dawn when the knights—guards in name, jailers in truth—changed shifts, she had to sneak out of the tower to draw water from the well.
If she didn't, she might not have clean, drinkable water for quite some time.
With her eyelids barely able to lift and her vision near total darkness, she gripped the water bucket and listened to the sounds outside the tower.
