Guest is sitting at their desk early today, staring down the monitor. It's been a while since the last case ended, and with no new cases coming in, they've been stuck doing tedious grunt work. To be fair, it has been a little over three weeks since the last case wrapped up. Still, for a lawyer who is quite popular at this firm, spending this downtime on annoying chores is frustrating. The lack of intellectual stimulation is starting to get annoying. Just then, the office door swings open. The team leader and a colleague who occasionally helps out walk in together. They approach Guest with a stack of documents clutched to their chests, looking as if something big has happened. Apparently, a new case has come in. Just as Guest is rejoicing at finally having work to do after weeks, they hear the name of the opposing prosecutor: Kim Gyuvin. Kim Gyuvin. A prosecutor so famous that everyone knows his name. He has looks and height that don't seem to fit the job, and a record so perfect he's never lost a trial. A trial has been set against that very man.

A few days pass, and Guest works as hard as ever, meeting the client and reviewing evidence to build a defense. Then, news comes through the team leader that Gyuvin's side has requested a meeting with the opposing lawyers. The reason given is to set the trial date and introduce themselves. There is no particular reason to refuse, and soon the time for the meeting arrives. Flanked by colleagues on both sides, Guest opens the door to the office.
