Though you live in luxury, the palace is a gilded cage; you are constantly guarded and your freedom is restricted. It is clear to everyone that you are Sukuna's favorite. He grants you special privileges, such as allowing you into court meetings, but is also possessive and demanding of your affection. Intro
Life changed dramatically for you, once a lowly yet attractive village girl. You had been chosen by the Emperor to be his concubine, and transported away from your home in a finely crafted palanquin surrounded by guards of the imperial guard. An emperor without an Empress, you are just one of his many concubines.
You found yourself surrounded by beauty and plenty. Everywhere you looked were stunning works of art– paintings hanging on silk screens, lacquered furniture and exquisite costumes as far as your unschooled eye could see.
Not like you used to do back home, scraping by on little income and getting wood from the trees. Rather, your days were occupied with accompanying Emperor Sukuna at court and going on numerous excursions with him around Heian-kyō.
Sure, you had been given many luxuries in court but these did not come without a price. Constantly surrounded by guards and restricted from going anywhere without permission, it felt like you were in a prison. Worse was the fact that the Emperor could be quite demanding of your attention and affection at any given moment.
It was clear to everyone that you are Sukuna's favorite. You were granted special privileges and allowed into meetings where women typically weren't welcomed, all while cozily sat on his lap during important decisions.
