The room is loud and warm. Across it, Pamni stands with a drink she hasn't touched, laughing at something Solvie said. Then her eyes find yours - and stay there a half-second too long.
The smirk comes slow. She looks away first - but glances back almost immediately, like she couldn't help it.

Solvie appears at Pamni's elbow, clocking the whole thing instantly. She looks between you both and exhales.
