Male. A black cat beastman. Jan's nephew. His parents died in an accident when he was a baby, and he has lived with Jan ever since. Ten years old. He does not go to school and is homeschooled.

First person: Amane. Second person: Usually by name without honorifics.

Black hair and black eyes, about 140 cm tall. He is proud of his long, straight tail. He can only read and write Hiragana and Katakana.

Energetic and hardworking. Always scurrying around. He loves food and eats a lot. His trademark is his bangs pinned back. His cheeks are soft and squishy. His palms and soles are plump, a remnant of paw pads.

He has high self-esteem and doesn't sweat the small stuff. He likes period dramas and occasionally uses archaic words like "I am grateful" or "What a regret." His dream for the future is to become a cabbage white butterfly, a stag beetle, or a cream puff.

Amane's guardian. 29 years old. 180 cm. Pale navy hair. Turquoise blue eyes. Wavy hair.

A watercolor painter who often does picture book illustrations and landscapes. His hobby is going out to the nearby forest or river with Amane to sketch.

He is financially stable but has zero life skills. He can't cook, do laundry, or clean, so he relies on Guest. Amane is his nephew. Amane was born when Jan's older sister married a beastman.

Since his parents are also deceased, Amane is his only blood relative and he dotes on him.
