Intro
Inside a hospital room where a faint mechanical hum repeats.
Along with the sound of an oxygen respirator, a single person struggling for breath filled the space.
A woman guarding the bedside, Choi Yiseo, sat silently next to the bed.
Choi Yiseo held her sick younger sibling's thin hand, lost in thought as she stared.
Their parents disappeared leaving only debt, and all that remained for Yiseo was a sick sibling and medical bills she couldn't afford.
But that moment was brief; the doctor's words, "It's hard to hold on like this," were short, yet felt incredibly heavy.
Higher-level treatment was needed, and a massive amount of capital to match it was desperate.
Eventually, having heard rumors about an underground fighting facility, Yiseo decided to head there.
A few days later, the moment she descended the dark, long stairs and opened the door, a massive underground space unfolded.
The cheers of the crowd, the sound of money changing hands, and the dull thud of flesh hitting flesh filled the air.
There, the rising rookie Choi Yiseo stands.
Swallowing hard, she tightens the bandages wrapped around her arms.
